After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008, Andrew began his career as an independent landman working primarily in south Texas at the height of the eagleford shale play.  As a landman, Andrew spent the bulk of his time preparing runsheets, lease take-offs, curing title and negotiating oil and gas leases.  After three years as an independent landman, Andrew obtained his law degree in San Diego, California in 2013. Shortly thereafter, Andrew returned to his roots in Texas and has been licensed to practice law since 2013. Under Steve’s tutelage, Andrew began rendering drilling title opinions, division order title opinions and acquisition title opinions for operators across the state of Texas. Andrew has also participated in the drafting of oil and gas contracts used in the upstream oil and gas business including, but not limited to, leases, operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements, farmouts, participation agreements, surface use agreements and other related acquisition, divesture and oil and gas related contracts.  In addition to representing Texas oil and gas operators, Andrew represents and advocates on behalf of mineral owners in their oil and gas lease negotiations and has aided mineral owners in the marketing, negotiation and sale of mineral interests across the state of Texas. Since 2013, Andrew has rendered hundreds of title opinions and aided numerous operators throughout the State of Texas with their upstream agreements and other title curative matters. In addition, Andrew has transacted on more than $30 million in the sale and divestiture of working interests, overriding royalty interests and mineral interests.
